It seemed a quieter weekend for open shows but some good results nonetheless. At Exeter & County CS Lynn Swain’s Mikang Gingerbread Latte was BP, RBOB and Puppy Group 2 under Vanessa Williams-Wegmann, I believe Carol Snell’s Yustin Z Jasne Hvezdy was BOB and Group 3. At Herts & Essex Border CS Nick Higg’s Touch Beauty Pride of the Motherland was BOB and Group 2 under John Purnell whilst his Fairy Vom Apfelland was RBOB, both handled by Susan Higgs -no puppies were present as far as im aware. Finally at Bootle, Crosby & South Liverpool CS Neville Gwynnes Moza This Charming Man went BOB under Katrina Kenyon and then Group 3 under Val Blore, whilst Dawn Dixon handled her mum Tina’s Glorious Yasmine Heybett Avec Debrita (IMP SVK) took BPIB & Puppy Group 1 under the same judges – well done to you all!
The Chinese Crested Dog Club have kicked off their Breed History Archiving Project which is aimed at digitally preserving our breeds history. Initially they are looking to collate information on what is available for scanning and storing and then it will be prioritised and the archiving will begin. The club then plans to make these archives available in 2019 – its 50th Anniversary year and will continue to digitally save documents, records, photos and videos over the coming years. If you have anything you would be willing to loan the club or send to them in a digital format please do let them know via their facebook page.
Easter weekend is nearly upon us, with mixed reports of snow impending. After having a couple of days sun this week I can only hope it will change and things will start to warm up and dry out before the outside shows kicks off in a couple of months time.
Don’t forget to enter The Chinese Crested Club of Great Britain’s Champ show held at the KC Building on April 15th and judged by Janet Kirkwood -postal entries have now closed by online are open until 2nd April.
Good luck wherever you are showing – there certainly seem to be a lot of shows this weekend! Enjoy and Have Fun!
